Olimpia Biasi, la pittrice che intreccia natura e poesia

Trevisana, formatasi a Venezia con maestri come Bacci, Gaspari, Barbisan e Pizzinato, Olimpia Biasi è una delle voci più riconoscibili dell’arte contemporanea locale, e non solo. Da sempre curiosa di sperimentazione, ha attraversato tecniche e linguaggi diversi, restando fedele a una poetica che unisce natura e cultura, astrazione e figurazione.

 

L’incontro con il poeta Nico Naldini ha dato alla sua ricerca un respiro letterario, mentre la passione per la botanica e gli erbari antichi l’ha portata a confrontarsi con autori come Hildegard von Bingen e con le teorie ecosofiche.

 

Dal 1990, realizza installazioni site-specific e opere nate dal recupero creativo di materiali: arazzi intrecciati a mano, erbari e libri che trasformano garze e fibre leggere in microcosmi naturali e poetici.

 

Con oltre settanta mostre personali e numerose collettive in Italia e nel mondo, Olimpia Biasi continua a raccontare, con pennelli e fili, la forza pulsante della natura e della bellezza.

A native of Treviso, and trained in Venice under masters such as Bacci, Gaspari, Barbisan, and Pizzinato, Olimpia Biasi is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary local art and far beyond. Ever inquisitive and open to experimentation, she has explored a wide array of techniques and artistic languages, all while remaining true to a poetics that harmoniously unites nature and culture, abstraction and figuration.

Her encounter with the poet Nico Naldini infused her artistic journey with a literary dimension, while her enduring passion for botany and ancient herbals led her to engage with figures such as Hildegard von Bingen and with ecosophical thought.

Since 1990, she has been creating site-specific installations and works born from the creative reclamation of materials: hand-woven tapestries, herbals, and books that transform gauze and delicate fibres into natural and poetic microcosms.

With over seventy solo exhibitions and numerous group shows in Italy and abroad, Olimpia Biasi continues to express, through brushstrokes and thread, the vital pulse of nature and beauty.
